This small group tour includes visits to off the beaten path
villages & markets, local winery and even a home visit to
Turkish family. You will taste local food, will have first hand
experience to learn traditional pottery making and will stay in
small charming hotels.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Istanbul
Arrive at Ataturk airport in
Istanbul
and transfer to our hotel in the old city. Overnight: Istanbul
Day 2: Istanbul City Tour (B)
Half day sightseeing tour of St.
Sophia, the Byzantine church which was converted to a
mosque in 15th century, and Hippodrome, afternoon
optional Bosporus
cruise and spice market. Overnight:
Istanbul
Day 3: Istanbul
City Tour (B)
Breakfast at hotel. We’ll visit
Topkapi
Palace
(harem section is optional), the magnificent Blue Mosque
and stop at Grand Covered Bazaar and will have free time
to discover 4000 tiny shops in the passageways of the
world’s largest covered bazaar. Overnight: Istanbul
Day 4: Gallipoli – Troy- Assos (B, D)
Morning departure to Gallipoli en route visit an old
Vineyard (Umurbey Vineyard) and wine cellar to taste the
famous Turkish Wines. Next we’ll visit Anzac Cove, Lone
pine cemetery and Chunuk Bair. Then we’ll cross the
Dardanelles to Canakkale and visit
Troy, later we’ll continue to
Assos for overnight.
Overnight: Assos
Day 5: Assos - Pergamum - Kusadasi (B, D)
After breakfast we will drive
through the olive forests and stop by a olive museum,
Then we visit the ethnographical museum in Tahta kuslar
(wooden birds) village. Later continue to
Pergamum, the ancient city of
learning, arts and medicine. Tour ancient Askeplion and
continue to Kusadasi for overnight. Overnight: Kusadasi
Day 6: Ephesus & St. Mary’s House

After breakfast begin tour of
glorious Greco-Roman ruins of Ephesus, one of the best
preserved classical city of the Eastern Mediterranean
dated back to 2000 years. Later we will drive to the
hilltop where we visit the miraculously discovered
Virgin Mary’s House; our tour ends with a visit to a
traditional village
of Sirince
famous with its local fruit wine.
Return hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight:
Kusadasi
Day 7: Kusadasi – Cappadocia (B, D)
Early morning flight to
Kayseri and short drive to Cappadocia ,
arrival to the “moon-like “landscape of
Cappadocia. Drive to Soganli valley, which
was continuously inhabited since the earliest days of
the Christian era, has churches that date from the 9th
to 13th centuries. Overnight:
Cappadocia.
Tonight
Optional: Whirling Dervishes performance in a Cave
setting.
Day 8: Full day
Cappadocia (B, D)
Early Morning
Optional: Balloon Tour.
After breakfast visit the Byzantine
frescoed chapels at Goreme then continue to Ozkonak,
tour the Pigeon valley Avcılar, the eight-story
underground city, and a local pottery making village,
Avanos. Visit a home of a traditional Turkish Family.
Tonight dinner in a traditional Cappadocia restaurant (Cultural
Museum restaurant built in an old
Turkish House and incorporated in an
Ethnographical
Museum).
Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 9: Cappadocia –
Antalya (B, D)
After breakfast drive to Antalya through Taurus Mountains
and visit Aspendos and Perge. Today, lunch is included
and will be served in casual style at traditional
village restaurant. Overnight: Antalya.
Day 10: Antalya (B, D)
Free day on the Mediterranean or join an optional tour to the
Archaeological Museum of Antalya combined with a cruise
from the old Roman Yacht harbour. Overnight in
Antalya.
Day 11: Myra
– Finike – Kalkan (B, D)
Morning drive to Myra to visit the home church
of St. Nicholas
(the authentic and original Santa Claus) and the ancient
city of Myra. Overnight: Kalkan
Day 12: Dalaman – Departure (B)
Morning drive to Fethiye and visit Lycian tombs. Later
transfer to Dalaman airport for your onward flight.
Blue cruise extension (optional)
Day
12: Kalkan Fethiye – Cruise
(B,L,D)
Early morning drive to Fethiye to board on Gullet at
10.30 am. Afternoon, we will be visiting uniquely
beautiful islands and finally hoist near Gocek island.
Following lunch and a swimming break we will cruise to
Yassıca islands to spend the night and cherish the
wonderful scenery.
Day 13: Bedri Rahmi Bay –
Domuz
Island – AgaLimanı (B,L,D)
After
the breakfast we will cruise to
Bedri
Rahmi
Bay.
Bedri Rahmi is a famous Turkish artist who made one of
the first ‘Blue Cruises’ in
Turkey.
Following his visit the bay was named after him. We will
go to Domuz
Island
for a swim and anchor in Aga Limanı for dinner and
overnight stay.
Day 14 Kumlubuk –
Cennet Island – Marmaris

Today,
we will cruise to Kumlubük
Bay early in
the morning. Breakfast will be served in
Kumlubük
Bay.
We anchor at
Cennet Island for
our last swimming break and lunch. We will enter to
Marmaris
Harbour
by 4:00 p.m. Overnight
stay will be in Marmaris on board. Guests wishing to see
more of Marmaris are recommended to go to the city
centre and experience the lively night life.
Day 15
:
Marmaris
Departure (B)
We will leave the boat and transfer to the Dalaman
airport for your onward flight.
