Fri Day 1: Arrive Istanbul
Arrive at Ataturk airport in
Istanbul
and transfer to our hotel. Overnight:

Sat Day 2: Istanbul City Tour (B)
Breakfast at hotel and begin full
day sightseeing tour of Istanbul. We’ll visit
Topkapi
Palace
(harem section is optional), ancient Roman Hippodrome
(center of the chariot races) and proceed to the Hagia
Sophia, the Byzantine church which was converted to a
mosque in 15th century. We will continue our Sultanahmet
tour with the Blue Mosque and finally we will stop at
Grand Covered Bazaar and will have free time to discover
4000 tiny shops in the passageways of the world’s
largest covered bazaar. Overnight:

Sun Day 3:
Istanbul
– (flight) Ankara –
Cappadocia (B, L, D)
Early transfer to airport for
flight to Ankara, to the
capital of
Turkey. Upon arrival at
Ankara, we will visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum
at which numerous remnants from Stone Age, Neolithic
Age, Hittites, Urartians, Phrygians and many others are
on display and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the burial
place of the national hero who founded modern Republic
of Turkey. Then continue on to
Cappadocia. After a picturesque trip along
the Salt
Lake arrive in Cappadocia.
Dinner and overnight.

Mon Day 4: Cappadocia (B, L,
D)
Before breakfast optional balloon
tour. Depart from the hotel at 09.30-10.00 and visit to
Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Drive
to Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting
mushroom-shaped pinnacles. In the afternoon, visit Open
Air Museum in Goreme where the remains of rock-cut
churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of
years and then to Kaymakli Underground City, the place
where early Christians hid from persecutors. Shopping
time for the well-known merits of the area before
returning to the hotel.
In

Tue Day 5: Cappadocia – Konya (en-route) – Pamukkale (B, L, D)
After breakfast depart to Pamukkale; on the way visit
Konya, city where Mevlana Rumi is buried, founder of the
most well-known Sufi order, Mevleviye. In Konya, we will
visit the Mevlana Museum. Later we will continue to
Pamukkale, ancient spa center and the unique natural
site of white limestone terraces cascading down the
mountain slope. Overnight in Pamukkale
Wed Day 6: Pamukkale - Aphrodisias - Kusadasi (B, L, D)
Today tour the ruins of Hierapolis
including the magnificently preserved cemetery
"Necropolis", the Main Street and Gates, the Thermal
Baths, the Roman Theatre and the Museum. In the
afternoon tour Aphrodisias, the city of Aphrodite; visit
the Museum, the Temple of Aphrodite, the Theatre, the
Stadium, the Agora, the Hadrian Baths, and Odeon.
Proceed to the hotel in Kusadasi for overnight.
Thu Day 7: Ephesus & St. Mary’s House - Kusadasi (B, L, D)
Morning tour to Ephesus area with
Artemis Temple, Ephesus Antique City (Hillside Houses
are excluded; entrance requires additional admission
fee), one of the most popular ancient sites of Turkey
with many acres of carefully excavated ruins; Virgin
Mary’s House, where St. Mary is supposed to spend her
last years together with St. John.

Overnight: Kusadasi
Fri Day 8: Kusadasi - Pergamum
– Canakkale (B, L, D)
Early departure to
Pergamum, the ancient city of
learning, arts and medicine. In well restored Pergamum,
we will see the ruins of the magnificent Acropolis and
Asclepion.
In the afternoon continue on
to Troy, the place where the legendary Trojan War took
place. After visiting the site with nine inhabitation
levels covering a period of 3000 years, drive to
Canakkale for overnight.
Sat Day 9: Dardanelles – Gallipoli - Istanbul (B)
After breakfast sail to the other
side of Dardanelles by a ferry and drive to Istanbul
with visit to Gallipoli,
famous for being
World War I
battlefields.
Arrive in Istanbul late afternoon and transfer to hotel. Overnight:
Istanbul
Sun Day 10: Istanbul
– Departure (B)
Transfer to airport for flight back home.
