Day 1: Amman
-Jerash - Ajloun - Amman

Airport and assistance with Jordanian
immigration and customs formalities or join this tour in Amman. Drive to Jerash, the best-preserved
city of Roman
times, to visit its theaters, temples, churches and
colonnaded streets. Then continue to Ajloun to tour the
12th century
Saracen
Castle
built by one of Saladin’s lieutenants in the campaign
against the Crusaders. Overnight in
Amman.
Day 2: Madaba - Mount Nebo – Kerak - Petra (B)
After breakfast we will drive along
the King’s Highway, the ancient
Silk Road. Our first stop is Madaba, famous
with its Byzantine mosaics. We will visit the Greek
Orthodox Church of St. George to see the earliest
surviving original map of the Holy
land in a mosaic floor dating to 560 A.D.
Then we will drive to Mount
Nebo, one of the most important holy
sites in
Jordan, known as the
site of the tomb of Moses. Our last place to visit
before arriving to
Petra is Kerak, the city famous
with the12th century hilltop fortress including
galleries, towers, chapels, and ramparts that vividly
recall the age of the Crusaders. Overnight: Petra
Day 3: Petra (B)
Breakfast and tour to the Red Rose
City Petra, built by the Nabeteans who settled Jordan
2000 years ago, impresses travelers from all over the
world with its desert rock carved monumental tombs, the
Roman Theater, the Courts, Qasr Bint Pharaoun, Temple of
the Winged Lion, palaces, temples and the treasury which
was starred in Indiana Jones. Our guide will give us a
briefing about whole City of
Petra
while we are walking through the 1.2 km canyon to reach
the magnificent treasury; drive back to hotel for
overnight.

Day 4: Wadi Rum - Amman (B)
Visit the Wadi
Rum
Desert
(a short ride in 4x4 vehicle) with its awesome moon-like
landscape, where the film “Lawrence of Arabia” was shot.
If time permits we will drive south to Aqaba, the only
seaport city in
Jordan. Return to
Amman,
